  1. Here's a map of our trip on GoogleEarth.

  2. Here are some of the places we visited:

Parsons - site of Battle of Corricks Ford

Beverly - see the very good visitors center - ask for info on visiting the Battle of Rich Mountain Sites

        Battle of Rich Mountain site

        Elkins

Blackwater Falls -- great lodge - try the Baked Apple Pancake as either a breakfast or dessert item.  It's really good -- more like a great apple souffle, but we'll let them call it a "pancake."

        National Radio Astronomy Observatory

        Pocahantas Demonstration Coal Mine

Pipestem State Park - with the tram down

Hawks Nest State Park - with another tram down

        Charleston - state capitol

        Demonstration Coal Mine

        Tamarack
