We've had a number of days of rain with a few days of breaks. There's even been a bit of snow.

Over the weekend of March 4, the Obsession Weekend attracted visitors from around the world.

As part of the Weekend, there's the art display and competition. This is the painting and
winner of the daffodil-themed art with Gail and John Kautz, the founders of Ironstone.
The painting becomes the poster that's used with the Obsession wine during the next year.

The chef's competition for the Obsession Weekend drew many entries. Clint Polnicky
is the chef at Cutting Edge Cuisine from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He's the winner of
the entree' competition and here shows his creation in the Culinary Demonstration Kitchen.
The winning entry: "Spiced Salmon over Chive Parsnips with Roasted Beets and Beet Greens
with a Lemon Obsession Sauce."
Eric Gray from Portland, Oregon won the dessert competition. His restaurant is Wine
Down on 28th.

On February 18, we had some snow at Ironstone. Here's a bunch of yellow
daffodils fighting to stay upright.

March 18 and 19 are Daffodil days with many, many events. These include the daffodil competition
at Ironstone, a reception and a buffet dinner. See the events details at www.ironstonevineyards.com.
Also, it's Murphys Days in Murphys (of course!) with a big street festival, music, etc. in town. You
can park at Ironstone and take a free shuttle into Murphys and back.
