Flower Status Report - Update 4-6-2006
Dreary days, bright flowers!
More rain over the last week. A few days of overcast are now expected, followed by more rain for several
days. Some of our neighbors down the hill in Burson have reported concerns about a small dam ready to
break and the smaller streams have all been flowing hard. We wish the best to those affected. Down in San
Joaquin and adjacent counties, there have been a few evacuations with help provided by the American Red
Cross volunteers.
Larry says the flowers along the road should be good for another ten days.
The beautiful white daffodils on the southeast side of the road.
Part of the 1/2 mile of yellow daffodils on the northwest side of the road.
Still some color on the dam to the left as you drive into Ironstone.
This part was really bright a few weeks ago: a reason to visit next year, too!
A full-bloom patch along the road.
The historic mining exhibit: white daffodils in front, but only bits of yellow around the cabin.
The 50 different bulbs in the parking lot planters are coming into bloom.
More flowers in the parking lot beds.
This tree hasn't leafed out, but the daffodils around it are pretty.
Susan Polk and Edna Taylor take a look at the barrels on the stage.
Edna's visiting Ironstone on her 86th birthday! Happy birthday, Edna!
More beautiful barrels at the entry.
With the rain, some of the vines get a good soaking. No problem for the vines!
Check this page each week for updates on the flower status. Or, call (209) 728-1251 during normal
business hours to talk with a staff member.
We do have a silent movie the end of April. If you haven't seen one, this is a great experience. Check our
website at www.ironstonevineyards.com for details.
