Flower Status Report - Update 3-28-2006
It's been a period of three days of rain and storms with hours and even days of brilliant sunshine! Along some
of the roads up to Murphys, there have even been accumulations of hail despite temperatures in the 40s. Further
up Highway 4, there's plenty of snow!
The cooler weather means the daffodils will last even longer. They're looking great! Find a break in the weather
and come up and visit us! (Or, if you're from Arnold, come down and visit us!) At 2,200 ft. elevation, Murphys
doesn't have its access roads shut down by snow. If in doubt, take Highway 4 to Murphys and bypass Murphys
Grade Road.
This nasty storm is brewing just north of Murphys as seen from Clements, CA.
Wet paths, but beautiful flowers!
