Flower Status Report - Update 3-15-2006
Snow on and off and some beautiful days! The daffodils may be near their peak, but the
tulips and hyacinth are yet to show their glories. The barrels of tulips aren't in flower, so
haven't been brought out for visitors to see. Yes, there are some very nice barrels of
flowers on display, but there are so many more to come! Also "running late" are the pots
of various daffodils: watch for updates here.

Coming from Murphys to Ironstone on Six Mile Road, there's over 1/2 of a mile of daffodils.
They're showing beautifully today!
Framed by our covered bridge, these flowering trees provide a beautiful focus from the parking lot.
Here's Conrad (in red), our concierge, giving a tour down by the historic mining equipment.
Some of the barrels that are out in front of the tasting room.
A load of wine barrels are delivered to Ironstone.
The flowering trees make a nice backdrop.
Daffodil flags, daffodils in the foreground and daffodils in the distance. All with a pile of
snow cleared from our parking lots.
Another shot of grape vines and daffodils.
Daffodil Days and our 4th Annual Wedding Faire are announced on the entry sign board.
For a full schedule of events including the Winter Silent Movies, see www.ironstonevineyards.com.
March 18 and 19 are Daffodil days with many, many events. These include the daffodil competition
at Ironstone, a reception and a buffet dinner. See the events details at www.ironstonevineyards.com.
Also, it's Murphys Days in Murphys (of course!) on Saturday (only) with a big street festival, music,
etc. in town. You can park at Ironstone and take a free shuttle into Murphys and back.
